Harman Accentra
The Harman Accentra sustains a warm and comfortable temperature without the rapid fluctuations in temperatures common to other pellet stoves. The Accentra is so advanced it will sustain the room temperature within the smallest range, regardless of the quality of pellets you burn or the frequency you clean your stove.
Burn nearly a ton of pellets before emptying the stove's large ash pan. The Accentra will easily go for weeks between cleanings while other pellet stoves need to be cleaned at least once a week!

I purchased this stove in 2005 to replace a wood stove. I run premium hardwood pellets and clean the stove per instructions with a vacum once per week. It takes one hour. I take the stove apart per the instuctions and scrape and clean all surfaces and passages. I have had fan problems and ignitor problems. Overall this is one of the worse purchases of my life. I have had a used 2008 model since January of 2013 and have had good results with it. I have it in my lower level family room and it does a good job heating it at about 70-75. The glass keeps the view of the fire clear for a long time before needing a cleaning. It doesn't need much attention other than keeping it feed with good pellets. Purchased in 2006, bad igniter (common issue) dealer would not make good on warranty and jerked me around. Worst thing I ever bought, nothing but trouble. Burn pot cannot be properly cleaned with provided tool, must use small hammer and chisel, expect burned fingers. I have the free standing model, I installed it myself (very easy)in my basement, it heats up quickly and is very easy to use. The igniter did go bad after about 8 tons burned- it was easy to replace. The blower is a bit noisey on high, but this stove has done exactly what I expected- keep the house warm and cut down my heating gas bill. (looks nice also)Overall Performance:

I had my Harman installed in Dec 2010 and it has been AWESOME! Even with the relatively high cost of this unit, it has paid for itself in two seasons (had electric heat in Mass). Looks good, lot's of control, nice heat output, relatively easy to clean. On the con side, the blower fan could be a little quieter when on full blast. Have had accentra insert since 2004. Installed it in my main floor fireplace and at the same time installed a quadra fire castile insert in my basement fireplace. Based on other reviews i've had outstanding results with both stoves, although the harman hand over outperforms the quad. seem to get better effeciency from the harman, yet it is much louder, but the quad rattles like crazy sometimes ...
