I bough this stove in September 2006, self installed it, and have never regretted it! This stove hates hard wood or hard/softwood combo pellets. If you want heat performance and low maintenance use softwood high heat pellets. In the northeast I recommend Okanagan or Vermont pellet-superb heat with a 1x a week cleaning.i only wish I could control more(auger speed and combustion fan) but this stove ...Overall Performance:

Purchased this Santa Fe used as a replacement for a Model 1000. The stove is three years old and never used as owner installed to help sell the house. New house owner's wife refused to use the stove fearing injury to her kids so the unit sat unused! Have been sadly disapointed with this stove, poorly designed firepot that easily clogs up with ash. Blower motor has poor airflow and then the ...Overall Performance:

Uneven flame , jams unless you burn small pellets, and very small inefficient noisy blower fan. For it to operate better pita fan up near the top of stove. Wish I would have bought a better stove, I read you can get a better blower for them any info appreciatedOverall Performance:

The stove took a crap right out of the box. The dealer was of no help in getting service, kept pushing me off to another dealer for service and had me do all the leg work. Two weeks to get someone to come and look at stove, then 5 days and more calls till they came back. Very very frustating. Stove is louder than expected and told. Hopper capacity is less then 60lbs. Once up and running it does ...Overall Performance:

After using a Winston Pellet for 21 yrs, I it with a Santa Fe when the board went out. Rather than having a more efficient stove, I got a cheaper less efficient replacement. The old stove pumped only outside air through the burn pot, but this one suck out room air. A pellet stove should burn outside air because it pumps more air through the burn chamber to get a cleaner burn. This stove has no ...Overall Performance:

I bought my Sante Fe in September of 2008 and have burned about 6 tons of pellets. I find the heat output very low to the point I think something might be wrong with it. Since this was the first pellet stove I have ever had I just assumed that this was the amount of heat it gave off until I felt the heat output from my father’s stove which is a different brand. Sometimes I can touch the grills ...Overall Performance:

Does anyone have a problem with noise coming from the this pellet stove? Pellet stove is downstairs. Bedrooms are upstairs and it sounds like a very loud car and the noise keeps me up. We do have a longer than average chimney, so I'm not sure if that may have anything to do with it. In the past we attributed the noise to the wind, but lately it hasn't been windy. Besides the noise factor, it ...Overall Performance:

My first pellet stove, I got the Santa Fe on December 6, 2011. I have an old house with lots of heat loss but this unit heats part of the downstairs and all of the upstairs. It certainly likes some pellets better than others. Burning Barefoot and I get lots of heat with very little ash. It's in my living room and it works fine for me. Like the previous reviewer, I need to tweak my air handling ...Overall Performance:

I bought my stove in October and just had it replaced yesterday (2 months later). It will not start up by itself. If we want the stove to start we have to push the reset button. Going to have to call service AGAIN!Overall Performance:

I have a 1100sf house and I'm having a hard time even heating that room that the Fireplace is in. The dealer keeps telling me that it because it's cold outside.BULL!! I have turned the fan on high and opened the filler all the way open. Does anyone have a answer for why it's not putting out the heat?Overall Performance:

In 2-1/2 years the stove has performed well. With some lower-grade pellets the bottom of the burn pot, where a plate pivots to the side to drop ashes and clinkers, can get a buildup on it that takes some scraping off for the trap door to work. Also, the plate in front of the exhaust vent has leaned slightly to the right, creating a low howling noise when the fire and stove are high the air drawn ...Overall Performance:

Bought the SF AE model in September. I have burned about 1 ton of pellets so far. Works flawlessly! The system was clogged once but the relief was a few seconds with the tool provided by Quadra Fire. Read the manually carefully. It heats my 2600 sq foot house (2 story). I need better air handling, but that's not the fault of the quadrafire. I recommend it highly.
