Quadra-Fire Mt Vernon AE
Review and ratings contributed by David on Nov 22, 2014

We bought our Mt Vernon Insert in 2007, to help reduce our electric heating bill. Overall, best purchase we've made for our home. We had just purchased our house the year before and had struggled with high electric bills, uncomfortable cold room temperatures, and a wood stove that was only of use ...

Whitfield Cascade
Review and ratings contributed by ottoseeker on Nov 19, 2014

The Cascade is an inexpensive unit, which proves that you get what you pay for. It is fussy, tempermental, and requires constant tweeking to keep things operating correctly. Ours has a tendancy to snuff itself out, which creates so much smoke, evacuation is necessary. It is difficult to use it for ...

We have had my Enviro Pellet Stove for a couple of years now and I cannot say enough about it. We love the look and the style of the stove and it is easy to operate. We know a lot of folks have installation issues with pellet stoves, so we researched the proper way to install it - we installed ...

I wish I did some research online before purchasing a 350LB PIECE OF JUNK. we were building a new home and needed a source of heat other than our heat pump. the A.E came to light by the dealer as a high efficient high BTU unit. I'm getting a bit older and didn't want to deal with traditional wood ...

I purchased the Harmen xxv and all I do is clean the glass, it gets teribly dirty in just a few hours. It is supposed to have an airwash system, but it definately is not working. I have had two other models of Harmen stoves and only had to clean the glass every 3 days, not 3 hours. The ash pan is ...

NU-TEC Upland 207
Review and ratings contributed by Paul on Nov 11, 2014

I bought the Upland 207 in Sept of 2013. I had no experience with pellet stoves prior to owning this one. The idea of over-seeing the operation of a heat source with multiple moving parts was intimidating for the first few months. We have no repair service to speak of in this region of Vermont ...

We bought a brand new stove. Picked it up, carried it upstairs. Installed the pipes and plugged it in. Blower fan is on - without turning the unit on. Probably not a good sign but what do I know. I get pellets - load up hopper - turn stove on. Pellets are falling into the pot - but won't light. I ...
