Dutchwest Cast Iron Small 2460
We just installed this stove in our 1,200 sq. ft home this fall. I don't typically write reviews on anything, but we've used the wood stove several times and are so pleased with it so far! We have had two other wood stoves in the past---one homemade that heated very well, but burned a ton of wood in no time and an Englander that was an insert, so much heat seemed to escape up the chimney. This little stove is so easy to get going, and seems to burn so little wood for so long. We have a fan blowing on it to push the heat around. We usually have to keep our windows cracked open because it gets so hot in the house, but I like having that mix of fresh air. I also LOVE the ash pan. We didn't have that feature with our other stoves, so cleaning them was always dreadful. Ashes always flew everywhere when we shoveled them out, no matter how easily we tried to do it. But cleaning is SO SIMPLE with the ash pan. I would never buy another one without it. I hope it lasts for many years. Thanks to the company for a good stove!
